What is Kybella®?

How Does Kybella® Work?
Kybella® contains an enzyme that targets fat cells, breaks down the outer membrane, and releases the contents into the blood stream. This approach to submental fat reduction is unique because diet and exercise only shrinks fat cells. Kybella® destroys fat cells.
What Should I Expect During My Kybella® Treatments?
Kybella® requires a series of treatments, and each treatment involves making multiple injections in the submental fat from the point under the chin to the top of the neck. Kybella® does not tighten the skin or help with fat that is located on the mid to lower portion of the neck.
What Should I Expect After My Kybella® Treatments?
In clinical studies, patients experienced noticeable reduction in submental fat after approximately 16 weeks. The treatment areas may feel tender, tight, sore, and swollen after each treatment.
